Mundakanni Amman - 21 inches - Paper Mache

Mundakanni Amman – 21 inches – Paper Mache

Amman in her thirumugam form – the sacred face – in deep red with a gold crown, third eye and small tusks, set against a full gold arch with a serpent canopy above and temple pillars on either side.

Moulded and hand-painted in paper mache by Indian artisans, the piece is light for its size and far easier to lift and store than clay of the same height. Each one is finished by hand, so no two are exactly alike.
