Lord Shiva as Nataraja is captured mid-Ananda Tandava, the cosmic dance, framed by the flaming prabhavali ring. The damaru and agni in the upper hands, the abhaya hasta, the raised foot and the finely modelled jata are all crisply detailed, and the antique silver-grey finish echoes the look of traditional temple bronzes.
