A tall, standing figure of Goddess Visalakshi, hand-painted in bright blue, pink and gold with a decorative prabhavali halo behind the crown. The four-armed form holds a Shiva lingam and a lotus, with the lower hands in blessing.

Crafted in paper-mâché and finished with silver and gold ornamentation, the doll stands on a layered lotus pedestal - a graceful Devi piece for the upper steps of a Golu.

Significance

Visalakshi - "the wide-eyed one" - is the presiding Goddess of the Visalakshi temple in Kashi (Varanasi), worshipped as the consort of Lord Vishwanath and revered as one of the Shakti Peethas.
